Looking for a fantastic place to spend quality time with family? Red Robin is obviously a phenomenal choice where the whole family can dine! One can’t go wrong with this place. From the eccentric setting, the famous food, and deferential service, this restaurant completely deserves five stars. Red Robin will satisfy every craving. So why waste money or obsess over soggy McDonalds fries, when appetizing steak fries and gourmet burgers are awaiting for just a dollar more? Try burgers such as the mouth-watering Guacamole Bacon Burger, known for its smoky, flavorful bacon. With extremely courteous and humorous waiters/waitresses, and very accurate and appropriate timing of food arriving, this restaurant is perfect in every way. The service is quick which won’t keep one too hungry. Also they keep customers entertained in many different ways. For example, on a friend or family member’s birthday, a waiter or waitress can become a clown! They will come and sing to the one whose birthday it is with their own special version of the â€Å"Happy Birthday Song!† They clap and sing and make themselves look 100% ridiculous, but they are more than happy to do it to brighten up a birthday. Again, one can’t go wrong with Red Robin’s superior, comical service which must be experienced. Red Robin has to be a top choice from a critic’s perspective for the perfect setting, marvelous burgers, and respectful service when looking for the ideal dining place that is outstanding and satisfying for the whole family! No need to worry about children being picky and not finding what they enjoy. There are plenty of choices that no one can resist, including kids. It was cold that October morning in Elizabeth City, NC. I hardly slept at all the night before and 4a. m. It didn’t matter; I had to be at the hospital at 6a. m. It was finally time for the world to meet baby Valarey and for baby Valarey to meet the world. It was time, time to have my precious baby. By 7a. m. I was hooked up to my IV. By 9a. m. the nurses had me hooked up to a fetal monitor that monitored my baby and my contractions. I was now stuck in this not so comfortable bed until after my baby was born. My labor had started on its own but my doctor decided to start a Pitocin drip to induce my labor and make it go a little faster. It was now 4p. m. and was time for the epidural. My husband almost passed out after watching the elongated needle go into the small of my back! It took everything in me to whisper â€Å"Something’s wrong† to the nurse. Everything went dark and I could hear a beeping noise that sounded like it was fading in the distance. I was dying, slowly slipping away from this world. When I finally regained consciousness I looked at my husband in dismay. The look on his face was complete trepidation. He told me that my blood pressure had plummeted and they had almost lost me. The nurse asked me how I was feeling and I told her I was ok. It seemed like I had been out for a very long time but my husband said it was only seconds. He said that the nurse had to inject me with some emergency medication to bring my blood pressure back to normal. It was now about 9p. m. and the nurse told me it was time to have my baby. It was pushing time! You could see the excitement is my husband’s face. I was just as excited! We were about to meet our second baby. To finally see what she looked like, to hear the sounds of here cries and to feel her soft skin. The pushing began but the doctor was not in the room yet. My knees were up to my ears and my chin was on my chest as I pushed with all my might, bearing down as hard as I could. After pushing really hard three times everyone in the room started to yell stop! Stop pushing! I thought something was wrong. The baby’s head was out. Her beautiful mystical blue eyes were fluttering like a butterflies wings. Soft, fine almost white, blonde hair and ivory fair skin was the first thing we saw of her. The doctor walked in the room all suited up and the pushing began again. After just a few more pushes our second baby girl was delivered. She was 8lbs even and 19 1/2in long. Valarey Joyce Hunter was born at 9:45p. m. on October 30th, 2001. She was the most beautiful and inestimable thing I had ever seen. Silent Sacrifices: Voices of the Filipino American Family by Dr. Patricia Heras is a research that was made to help the Filipino Americans family end the relationship gap between the parents and the children. This documentary encourages Filipino- American parents and their teen-aged children to talk so that suicidal attempts can be thwarted. It also talks about the cultural conflicts and the struggles of the Filipino immigrant and their children on a daily basis encounter. The video begins by showing articles about the increasing numbers of suicide cases by young Filipino- Americans. The Filipino-Americans teenagers were asked what it means to be a Filipino-American. Someone said it is more of a struggle. Every day they have to adjust to be able to fit in with a group that has a different values and culture. They also feel pressure and, at the same time, worries for their children. Since they are often working, they seldom see or talk to their children. They become oblivious to the activities or problems their children are getting into. The parents are also having difficulties in saying l love you because they grew up in the Philippines where saying I love you is not that frequent compare to America. l was raised the old way. What I say goes no ifs or buts, Someone said in the documentary. My wife and kids say, l never hear you say I love you. They express their feeling only when something wrong is done. The Filipino-American children were aware of the sacrifices they and their parents ave to undergo Just to survive in US. Parents are working for seventeen hours a day to be able to give a comfortable life for their family but in return their relationship with their children would be strain. Children have to struggle every day Just to have their own identity or Just to fit in with a crowd that has a different culture and values. They have to control their frustration from their parents who push them to work hard in school but were never satisfied. They always feel lonely, unloved, and unwanted in spite of living with their parents in one roof.
